What A Pleasure To See...

The Shop Girls are always pleased when a new job shows up for us to fuss over.  This week one of our favorite customers called up and needed something framed quickly.  Victoria Duffy, a recent graduate of the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts, is preparing for a show and decided that she needed one more piece framed to round out her exihibit.

We framed 18 for her senior project in May.  What a honor to be a small part of her creative efforts.  As you can see below, Victoria's project was an A++++!

This time Victoria brought in one print.

 She wanted it framed in the same basic black as the others, so it was very easy for us to swing into action.  These materials are something that we try to keep in stock. 

The Shop Girls are so impressed with Victoria......we can't wait to see what she creates next!

The Shop Girls worked on a very lovely piece this evening.  This beauty made us smile. 

How does it make you feel? 

It's a piece by N. A. Noel.  This blogpost really doesn't do the frame justice.  In person, you would be able to see all of the graduated colors in the wood frame.  Gold.  Red.  Taupe.  Butter Yellow.  It's simply beautiful!

On to our next project now......an autographed Lee Ann Womack CD.  (I bet some folks think Lee Ann is an angel, too!)

Our mat cutter will be getting quite the workout this month.  Three more jobs came in tonight from an art student.  Art students and picture framing go perfectly together.  We appreciate one another, for sure.
We also appreciated working on such an inspiring piece this evening.

Whew! What a Busy Night!

Whew!  What a Busy Night!

Truth be told, there is plenty of work to keep The Shop Girls at Picture That! Frame Shop working for many weeks.  In the front of the shop, the focus was on organizing the artwork, designing all of the pieces, measuring (once, twice and then a third time for accuracy!), ordering all of the necessary materials and sizing the mats & mounting boards.

At the fitting table, an oil canvas was framed, glass was cut and a bright, bold & beautiful Peter Max poster was assembled. 

Whew!  What a Busy Night, for sure!

2012 is finally here!  The Shop Girls are happy to tell you that we have expanded our hours to better serve our customers!  We'd love to see  you soon......so stop on in!
